More WWE DVD NEWS!!!!
Looks like the WWE will eventually be releasing a 2-disc Mick Foley set, a Kurt Angle disc and a Monday night wars disc featuring WWF RAW vs WCW Nitro. I'm sooo there for Mick Foley set and Kurt Angle. Hope this happens sooner than later. http://www.prowrestling.com/articles/news/9081.shtml
BTW the link is popup hell. Maybe now we'll hear soon about a Bret Hart disc soon....

Yeah, and guess where prowrestling.com stole that from? 1wrestling.com. Figures... all follow the leader.
Here is the info from Mike Johnson of 1wrestling.com
The WWE will be releasing an autobiography by Ric Flair titled "Dirtiest Player In The Game" in March 2004. Keith Elliot Greenberg, who did a tremendous job on the Fred Blassie autobiography, has been tapped to co-write the book with Flair.
For those of you excited about the upcoming 3 disc "Ultimate Ric Flair" DVD set, I have heard there are new DVDs on Mick Foley (a 2 disc set) and Kurt Angle, as well as a look at the "Monday Night Wars" in the works.
In what is likely an attempt to get PPV DVDs out quicker, WWE has seemingly eliminated "extras" from their most recent PPV DVD offerings, including Vengeance and Bad Blood.

This new guy they hired in Media is wonderful! I'll be picking up the Cage Match set this month, the Natch set next month, and most likely the Foley and WCW vs WWF one.
I'm a tad pissed at the idea to scrap extras on PPVs. Hopefully this won't effect the Big 4.
I'm seriously waiting for a Hit Man DVD set!

I bet some of these (Foley, Angle & some of the Monday Night Wars) will be re-packagings of the OOP WWF DVDs.
All the WWF named DVDs had to be discountinued because of the stupid World Wildlife Fund crap.

As a huge WCW fan, Im looking forward to the Monday Night Wars one... I wonder if it's going to be a fair look at it, or will it be all about how much RAW was better than Nitro (yeah right)
I just got the Hogan DVD ($5.99 at the Pawn Shop!) and was disappointed how little of his WCW/nWo days they covered.

Thanks for the info . I really haven't paid enough attention to recent wwe dvds. A friend of mine just got a dvd player and LOVES the nature boy. so will have to forward this info to her
.. I would be happy with some of his classic matches against Stinger . Does anybody know if this will include his battles with Kerry Voneric ?

hmmmm this raw vs. nitro dvd should be very intresting. I wonder if its going to be like nitro's main event then raw's on th same date of course only the huge one's like hogan/goldberg. Or is it just goin to be big matches from each shows history. Should be a very odd dvd lol.

I hope on the WWE vs WCW dvd they talk about how Eric Bischoff posted the RAW results on the internet few minutes before RAW came on. For those of you that dont know, back when WCW was on top, WWF RAW was a taped event and then broadcast on monday and EB would post Raw results on the WCW website.

Man I really hope the WWE starts cashing in on their video library they got from WCW, ECW, etc..
From the Vault with Shawn Michaels was pretty good. Hopefully they'll release like an RVD DVD with a bunch of his ECW stuff.

On Monday nights, Nitro started an hour earlier than RAW so those who watched both shows had the following schedules: Watch Nitro from 8:00 pm ET to 9:00 pm ET, switched over to the LIVE/Taped RAW from 9:00 pm ET to 11:00 pm ET and then since Nitro was replayed, they caught the second hour of Nitro from 11:00 pm ET to 12:00 am ET. So a few minutes before RAW begins and before people switched over, lead WCW announcer Tony Schivavone on cue from Eric Bischoff, announces that on our competitions show tonight, that Cactus Jack wins their world title.
WCW/Eric thought this would keep viewers from switching over but it backfired most of the time especially on this night as RAW got one of their highest ratings. WCW even lost loyal viewers who turned to RAW to see the title change knowing that they can watch the second half of Nitro later via the replay. So WWF sorta blew it by having Mic win the title on the taped RAW but also WCW blew it by announcing that WWF was going to air a title change.
WWE's Confindental (sp) show aired a feature or two on the Monday Night Wars and this whole "Spoiling The Foley Title Win" is covered. I would be certain that this would be on the DVD.
I dunno how the DVD will be but like someone mentioned earlier, I wouldn't be surprise if they have two or three or more segments where theres a split scene of each shows main event for that particular night. (Even though they never went head to head when first aired.)

definitely can't wait for the Foley & Angle DVDs. I stopped watching WCW back in '90 when Turner said there could be no more blood on the show and demanded that the announcers call foreign objects "international objects" because he declared that the word "foreign" was bad.
