Friday The 13th Boxset?

Has anyone heard anything about the annoucement on Sept 19 about a boxset? Mainly what might be on the discs? I thought something would have leaked by now, but nothing.

Don’t hold your breath. I think the rights are owned by different people.

Personally I’d be more than happy if each one came out barebones and uncut for $10 or less.

Only parts 9 and 10 are owned by New Line and 1-8 by Paramount. Paramount has been rumored to re-release these as SE's within the next year (9 and 10 are all ready SE's)

I'm hoping too!

Please edit your title with a "?" so that people know that this thread is asking about it - not telling about it. Thanks.

P.S. Ann announcement from Paramount regarding this set is expected on Sept. 19th.

I'm not sure how to edit the subject? Just delete this since no one knows anything.

If by "DC" you mean 'director's cut', part nine is "uncut" on the DVD, and with X, they've said a lot in the past that there really wasn't much of anything cut out from it.

The prices were taken down an all of them, they haven't changed otherwise since their initial release.
I'm amazed also that no info has leaked. Only a few days to go. Fingers crossed.

Yes but there's no use to buy this box set since it's the same as the individual meaning almost barebone and cut.

Yes exacly depending on each film some scene where cut or sometime just less blood. The Uncut version came out on VHS but never on DVD. except for the 9th and 10th film.

No. vice86 asked if these DVDs were cut beyond their theatrical releases. And the answer is no. The DVDs are the original R-rated theatrical cuts (plus a couple of additional gore moments in the first film). The DVDs were not cut beyond what was cut for the theatrical releases.

achau9598 - You took the words out of my keyboard. I was just logging in to post that it seems odd that nothing has leaked. Not to be too pessimistic, but I sense that's not good (for us). I've been checking all of the boards (including the F13 board) and noone knows nothin'.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There was a bit cut from Jason X. So there is room for a DC. Part 9 does have the DC version.

And no the DVDs are not censored when compared to the R rated theatrical cuts but they’re not director’s cut. Strange that they would release DC versions on VHS but not DVD. Some things just boggle the mind.

Also, for part 1 you can get the R2 or R4 and it’s the DC version.
