I passed on those as I couldn't really tell who was in the movie.

I could care less, its all about the content of the movie. Not the stupid cover
It does have some importance, otherwise why does DVD Talk have a separate forum devoted to alternate cover art? Plus why has Dvdcoverart.com grown to such a big size? By the way, I HATE noggin covers.

There used to be a great web site that showed all the various different 'formats' used for cover art in film posters.

Anybody know what happened to it?

they havent really bothered me until recently. I think when they change the cover art such as U-571 it annoys me even more..Why ruin an already fine cover?

I'm with you atari2600. I mean, it's not the big floating heads even appear in the movie that way. Unless of course that movie is Zardoz.
And the Zardoz cover doesn't even have the right floating head on it!
