Family Guy Vol. 1 Jitter problems?

After watching a few episodes of Vol. 2...i notice no jitter like I saw a lot of in the Vol. 1 episodes...or am I just seeing things. I tested out eps from Vol.1 on 3 dvd players and they all had some jitter...while the episodes I watched from Vol.2 had no jitter whatsoever.

Anyone?

Plus you'd think the collection being only 3 dvd's vs. 4 dvd from vol. 1...it would have been a little cheaper...around 29.99 or something. Got Vol.2 for 35.99 at Target.

The jitter in the first two seasons is reportedly a problem with the original animation.

Not so much a problem with the animation, but they often had to "freeze" some frames in order to fill out time requirements. This is why you see the jagged lines in the first few episodes.

Watch S1 again and you see less and less of it as the season progresses.

There is a thread about it around here somewhere.

Found it ...
