DVD Read Problem
Hello:
I have a Panasonic DVD Player which I have had for about two years. I purchased two dvd's the other day. One is the new Animal House dvd and the other is National Lapoons Vacation 20th Aniversary edition. The Animal House one palys fine and the Vacation dvd says it cannot read the dvd. I returned it for anothe copy and still get the same error. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Try another player or computer DVD drive. If you don't have any of these try a friend's player. If it plays fine in other players but not yours I would think about shopping for a new player.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did try another dvd player and it works fine. I also tried a dvd reader which did not work. It seems odd that this is the only dvd that will not work in my player and why does it not work in the dvd reader I tried. Anyway I guess I'll start looking for another dvd player. I would appreciate any suggestions on one that plays single dvd's and has optical 5.1 connection. I could care less about any other bells and whistles. Also not interested in one that burns dvds.

I found that if you let it warm up for a couple of hours the problem sometimes clears itself. YMMV.
