Picked Up Family Guy - Volume 2 Today!!!

While there werent enought titles I was going to purchase today, I entered my favorite electronics store and found that on the table in front which showcases all the newest releases, they also had out Family Guy - Volume 2. Picked it up for $41.99. I figure that I can always go back next week and pricematch it for their advertised price. They had over 100 copies on the table and on the shelfs.

$41? How many episodes are on it? I was under the impression that there were only 18 episodes left after season two. I suppose I'm wrong, aren't I?

Sounds like Best Buy. I just went to mine in King Of Prussia & they also had a stack sitting on a table at the entrance. I had it on my preorders for next week so I picked it up. The cashier said something like "they weren't supposed to put those out yet", but I still got it. Watched the first 4 & they look better than the first set. And funnier. There's 21 episodes, plus the never-aired episode for a total of 22.

I went to Walmartt today and found it there on display too. They are selling it for $38

I was wondering "how did I miss the release of this - this is my favorite show."

Wanted to PM their price to another B&M and so I came home and saw it has a release date of 9/9. Overall looks like a good price. I'm going to go back and pick it up.

This WM was in Monroe-NY if anyone wants in.

We need to know if it's censored. Particularly the Weinstein episode.

Think I'll sit tight on this one... If it's selling for $41.99 at BB this week, it should be in the mid $30 range next week, since that is technically the release week. Even though the BB website has it as a $41.99 pre-order, it will be cheaper. IIRC, Volume 1 was $35.99 during release week.

Dammit. Wouldn't you know...I've spent the last 13 years of my life in King of Prussia, and this is the first Tuesday that I'm in Boston for college.

What is there to censor in the weinstein episode? Nothing that I could see when I first saw it last year.

In terms of KNOWN things, 2 other things in R1, and 1 other thing in R2. Who knows what else they took out that no one was able to catch (review sites only mentioned Bin Laden).

My point is there was nothing to warrant censorship, yet they censored. So why should it not be the case in S3?

Is there commentary for every episode, or just a couple per disc?

Haven't we been over this multiple times in multiple threads about the censorship.

Here it is again:

First off there’s the famous Bin Laden scene that was taken out from both R1 and R2 DVDs! It's in the episode “Road to Rhode Island” and the joke VERY funny (and pre 911).

When Stewie takes his weapons to the plane after distracting airport security by dancing, he says “God I hope Osama Bin Laden doesn’t know show tunes". Next shot is Bin Laden dancing and distracting them while his luggage full of weapons passes through.

In ep 103 "Chitty Chitty Death Bang"!! They censored the "Seig Heil" chants at the end just before Stewie blows out the candles!!! Here is how all the marching and Seig Heiling sounds in all its glory!!

Also gone from both R1 and R1

Then there's the JFK Pez getting shot in ep 105 "A Hero Sits Next Door" that was taken out. But this actually made R2!!

I give it 10 more posts before someone starts debating the definition of "censor".

Couple per disc. But the ones we get are pretty entertaining. Seth Green appears, and Mila Kunis drifted in for a minute without saying anything on another I listened to.

That's too bad - because I know for a fact that they recorded commentary for EVERY SINGLE episode.

So, yet again, Fox, for whatever-the-hell reason, saw it fit to not give us all of the commentaries.

And I, for one, appreciate that they're looking out for my best interests...
