"Napoleon"...should I keep or dump?

what? Gut bought a blind-buy? yep....took a chance on something I saw in a store today...Napoleon: An Epic Life. for the first time...I did no research prior. after checking many write-ups on this mini-series, I find more negative remarks than positive. now usually...a bad reveiw would not phase me. but I'd like the historical facts and lead performances to be as good as they can be. I read that Christian Clavier was a poor choice for the role and that much info was ignored. the dvd set looks nice....but I'm thinking since I have not opened it yet...I might take it back based on what I've read so far.

before doing this...I need to check with the real people in the world...you guys. anyone have this and care to share thoughts? I'll be taking it back soon, unless someone can convince me it might be worth keeping.

I have heard from someone who I trust that this thing was pretty dissapointing.
I'd get rid of it, at least exchange it for some good horror films.

Read any bunch of review for any historical movie, and there's always people complaining.

thanks for the replies. I guess my main concern was the casting...which for me makes or breaks a film. I'm still deciding.

Anytime someone mentions 'Napoleon', I always picture Ian Holm from Time Bandits
