Life is advertising...

Deal with it...???

5 minutes of your life, you'll never get back... and your still wasting your time bitching about it... Thats where the humor is for me from this angle

And where do you draw the line? Would 30 minutes of commercials be OK? Would it be OK if they put a permanent logo down in the lower right corner? Would it be OK with you if they inserted an "intermission" full of commercials?

There really is a line and I feel it has been crossed with Universal's attempt to cuff us to their promos...even if they can be bypassed with some DVD players.

Has anyone else had problems with the movie getting choppy and skipping? Right when they first pledge, mine becomes almost unwatchable.

Negative. It sounds like you have a bad disc. Swap it out for another copy.

TV Guide had a few mentions about the extra that seemed contradictory:

There was a blurb about Spike TV's special and at the end it said:

If the doc leaves you wanting more, pick up the 25th anniversary DVD. It features more bonus material than kegs at a Delta House party.

Then the mini-DVD reviews said this:

This well-produced disc enriches the ultimate campus comedy with notes and memories by cast members both in and out of character. One favorite: The original title was "Laser Orgy Girls."

DVD Extras: Documentaries; trivia track.

They give the Movie: three stars and the Extras: two stars

It seems like the above-gushing would equal more than two stars. Guess the stars are accurate and the prose is not.

Sure the trailers are fun the first time you see them, but do you really want to sit through them every time you put the disc in the player?
Denon DVD-2900, can't skip w/the CH+ either. FF time took maybe 4 sec. Irritating just the same.

I have 2 copies, 1 purchased at Walmart, that say otherwise.

Heh.
Sell them NOW. I sold mine on Amazon for $70 three months ago.

It's out of print, after all

Best thing about the new release is the anamorphic transfer.

Outside of that, no reason to buy the new one, especially since this release will probably lower the value of the previous one.
