I bought both versions of FOTR. Sold the theatrical cut to a friend for $10 when the EE came out so I only lost $5 (price of a rental basically). Plan to do the same thing this time around.
I just can't wait to see Gollum on my HDTV. I even finished doing the Duvetyne mod to my set today in anticipation.
Finding Nemo will probably be the release I get the most use out of this year though. In fact I'm sure of it. The digital animation movies like anything from Pixar, Shrek, Ice Age etc. always get the most play time around here. They look absolutely fantastic on a high definition set AND the three year old is pretty much hypnotized by them. The fact that it's a great movie is just the icing on the cake.

I guess it's just me but I've never been able to get into the Indiana Jones movies. Don't know why. Not a Bond fan either.
This is just the first time I've been feeling that "gimme! gimme!" sensation in regards to a dvd release. There's been plenty that I've looked forward to in the past but not to the degree that I was anxiously awaiting release day. I'm sure it's directly related to my sudden abundance of free time. Maybe it's simply a case of me trying to look at the bright side of a bad situation? If it is, so be it! Gimme gimme gimme!

I get WAY TOO EXCITED about most DVD releases, so this one is no different... I can't wait...I feel like a drug addict just waiting for another hit.... damn, I am really looking forward to tomorrow.... of course I'm dying for the EE, but I'll take what I can get for now and be happy with it!

I can't say I'm excited at all for TTT DVD coming out tomorrow. I will get the EE even though I'm not really all pumped up for that either. The big November release will most definitely be X2 now that Indiana Jones, which I am anticipating above all others for the Fall, has been moved to October.

I saw LOTR:TTT twice in the theater so I am not all that excited for the theatrical release (I will still buy it and watch it). The Extended Edition is what truly frosts my twinkie.

Is there a set date already for the Extended version of TTT? I'm not going to get the one tomorrow and then have to get it again in a few months. I'll have to find a friend who buys it and borrow theirs. heh.

From the moment of the first film, everyone anticipated this would be a big hit. From the first DVD and the EE DVD everyone anticipated the DVDs would be a big hit. And everyone anticipated the fact that it would be released at around the same time as last years DVD. So, yes we all anticipated the release of the DVD.
