Ugh... I ordered mine from dvdsoon. I hope it's okay when it finally gets here, 'cause I don't relish the thought of dealing with sending it back to them and having to wait even longer to get it...

when I opened my King of the Hill set, in one of the cases under the DVD was someone's chewed off fingernail clipping.

Now, to stay on topic and add fuel to the fire. The Columbine DVD is a two disc set and neither had scratches on it. Come to think of it, I can only think of one instance where an MGM disc I bought had a scratch.

dang...checked out my copy finally last night, and there were some blemishes on disc 1, while there was this huge circular SCRATCH on disc 2. this sucks...now i gotta go back to the store to exchange this. btw, the movie started freezing/pixilating on my apex 600a after the layer switch...did anyone else experience this?
while we're on the subject of bad QA, i don't understand why studios continue to use this crappy type of hub...it took me about a minute to pry the discs off of them. i always worry about cracking the discs (which has happened before). all i need is the simple keep case!!

No scratches on my 2-disk set thankfully. Though I wonder how long the little "Bub head" flap will last...
BTW, as long as I'm posting in a DAY thread, let me also add that I watched the flick last night and ALL of the audio substitutions slipped right by me unnoticed. It's too bad that AB allowed this to happen, but it had ZERO impact on my enjoyment of the film.

I got mine yesterday and it was fine. And I don't mind the packaging - kind of like it actually. I like a little variety on my DVD shelf as far as packaging goes (with the exception of the ET package).
I watched it last night and I must say I'd forgotten how great this movie is.

I got mine online, UK you see, and luckily both discs work fine. Agree about the hateful BUBFLAP, not going to last too long like that! How many audio changes are there? I noticed two, one form Sarah when she sees BUB eat people parts and also from Steel just as he discovers the lift will not work. Are there more?

Great, great, set. I watched the film, then the film again with director/cast commentary, then all the special features over the last two days. Now I have to watch it again with the Avary commentary. A great treatment of a great film.
Biggest shock for me...Bub was played by the guy who was Lex Luthor in the Superboy tv show. I never realized.
BTW, my discs were pristine.

I got Vol 1 & Vol.2 of the 2-disc Fulci Collection sets when they came out. Vol 2 had a scratched disc. But for some reason (I can't remember why...maybe I didn't have a receipt? I can't recall) Circuit City wouldn't take the disc back, plus they didn't have it in stock to exchange it.
So, I emailed Anchor Bay, and about 3 days later, a brand new, sealed copy arrived in the mail. I didn't send the scratched one in or anything, they just sent me a new copy.
Of course, when I opened it...and it was also scratched!!! So I emailed them again, and they sent me another sealed copy...of vol 3!
So now I had good copies of Vol 1 & 3, and two scratched copies of #2. This time I sent one of the Vol 2's to them, and then they actually sent me another copy, this time without scratches.
I have to say I was more than impressed with their customer service. To send out replacement copies on the "honor system" kind of blew my mind.
Oh, and to rerail: My DotD discs were fine.
