Is there a Saving Private Ryan 2-disk possibility??

With the recent price drop this week, I was reluctant to buy the movie unless I was sure there is not going to be some special 2-disk edition or anything like that coming out.

Does anyone know? $12.99 is hard to pass up otherwise.

Well, not everything. But, I could see a SE released of SPR released. But, I don't think it can have any better audio or video.

Yeah, but I'd like some "Making of" features or other extra stuff.

*ZING*

I seriously doubt there will ever be an SE of this film, given the "Limited Edition" nature of the current incarnation.

Maybe they could include the trial footage of Tom Sizemore as an extra feature.

I hope to goodness we don't see another version. I am getting tired of the ripped off feeling when I buy a dvd only for an announcment within a year of a better version.

With all the historical film available, this would be perfect for an SE. But you're right, there is no improving on the video and audio.

The existing version is a Limited Edition. I think they're going to re-release the movie as an SE soon!

OK, next question:

Do I get the DTS one or the Dolby Digital one with the extra feature?? Is the DTs that much better on it?

I didn't realize that there was a price drop on this. This is great news, since I bought the DTS version last week, and can do a price match on it now for the lower price. Cha-ching!
