Wait a minute! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.........
Amazon says it's a two disc, but that's it. And for $13????!
Dvdpricesearch says it's one disc, which makes the price sound more logical. So what's going on here? Can we get another site link to double check the specs? Are there any early reviews, perhaps?
How about different regions? Any comparisons? Screen shots? What's going on here........? Thanks.

Paramount website still shows the old cover, with MSRP of 19.99, and a fair amount of extras, so we'll see. Here's the link: http://homevideo.paramount.com/Catal...release_id=566

Amazon.ca has it as $26.32 list price on for $18.42 Canadian & shows the First Cover art ..So around 13.00 Us sounds about right..Doesn't say if its one or two discs..Lists it as an Import that is a little strange....
Edit
Heres A link to it right on Paramounts Site
http://homevideo.paramount.com/Catal...release_id=566

The cover art on Paramount's website for the DVD appears to be the same that was used in Region 2.
Region 2 Artwork
If it's correct, hooray! Very cool cover.

here's a little mini-review..
i rented the R2 version today (it's already out here in europe) and it's the same bonus materials and all that. the video quality looked excellent. it's a Paramount release so i'm sure they hired Lowry for this one too.. i didn't think it looked quite as stunning as the Indiana Jones films or Sunset Boulevard but almost just as good. there was no dirt, scratches and such to be seen and overall it was really terrific. i don't think anyone will be disappointed with it visually.
as for the extras, i watched all of it except for the commentary track. the three main featurettes are roughly 70 minutes all together and while they do have some interested recollections and such, i honestly didn't feel like there was too much of interest in them. they're worth checking out for sure, but i've certainly seen better documentaries. it was mostly the same people in the audio commentary discussing various topics, recollecting about it. i'm sure if the audio commentary is a good one, the documentary will feel even less informative. the featurette about the railroad is really short and doesn't really offer much.. fluff piece. the galleries were pretty nice.. instead of a "manual" gallery it's a video that just displays image after image.. a nice touch. i wish more DVDs with galleries would have this (along with a "manually" viewable gallery.. this disc doesn't have that though, just a video gallery). there's another gallery that first shows you an image from the film, and then the very same location/shot as it looks today.. not too interesting maybe. otherwise, a trailer and cast information.
the extras on the second disc aren't the greatest, but i'm not one to complain since they could probably just as easily just released the film barebones. i still have the audio commentary to listen to as well, which i hope will be interesting. it has lots of participants so it should at least not be a semi-silent track.
most imporant though is that it looks terrific and sounds good too. and of course, it's the director's cut version as well. that's what matters the most, and in that area it certainly delivers all the way.
