Where's Ed Wood?

Does anyone know why "Ed Wood" is unavailable on DVD? I see that it's been released in the U.K., so what's the hold-up here in the States? Is there a release date?

Anyone?

Welcome to the forum!

Lots of poeple are looking forward to this release - which is why there have been so many threads on the topic already, including this one:

(It's a good idea to do a search before posting a new thread so that we won't be overrun with dupes.)

In a nutshell: the DVD was pressed and recalled at the last minute do to rights issues with one of the extras. Current status is unknown, but hopefully we'll see this soon.

Yeah, I actually did a search for "Ed Wood Burton," but I got back 173 pages worth of results. After scanning the first few pages of non-relevant threads, I gave up. :^)

I doubt that, you shouldn't have gotten any results cuz the word "Ed" is two letters too short to meet the bare minimum, which would have made it impossible. LIAR!! LIAR!! Just own up to the fact you were too lazy to attempt it and posted a new thread. I don't even remember how I found the thread when I went looking. Probably "Wood Burton".

Welcome to the forum.

Hey dude,

Thanks for ribbing gently, but, um, I'm not a liar. I just re-tried my search and got the same results: 173 pages worth.

Here's the URL:

Now, perhaps I'm searching incorrectly, but being ignorant doesn't make me a liar.

Thanks again for the welcome, and the tip.

Wow, 173 pages indeed with 4314 threads to sift thru. Ed Wood can't be mentioned in all those threads though. What exactly are you typing in the search box?

FYI, typing in "Ed Wood Burton" for me gives me this message:
"The search term you specified (ed) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer."

Ed's available in Europe, nice disc. Everyone should own it. Try limiting the film to just the DVD Talk forum, it will get rid of a lot of those other searches. Having it check just the title of the thread narrows it down significantly:

This disc was what made me break down and get a region free player.
