The Running Man: Special Edition is on the way from Artisan in the first quarter of 2004. It will include a brand new anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 6.1 soundtracks.

I guess I'll pick this one up if it's cheap enough. I hope the DTS track is at least decent. A lot of Artisans DTS tracks are pretty crappy.

Screw, T2, this is Arnold's greatest movie. The dialogue is the funniest thing I have ever heard:
Damon Killian: You bastard! Drop dead!
Ben Richards: I don't do requests.
Ben Richards: Killian, here's your Subzero, now plain zero.
Ben Richards: Uplink underground, uplink underground. If you say that one more time, I'll uplink your uplink your ass, and you'll be underground!
Amber: [after Richards cut Buzzsaw in half with a chain saw] What happened to Buzzsaw?
Ben Richards: He had to split.
Ben Richards: [after strangling Sub-Zero with barbed wire)] What a pain in the neck.

Has any one else read the short story that the movie was based on, the Stephen King short story was also called "The Running Man".
When I first heard they were making movie out of the story I was fired up, but the movie has very little in it that is like the book.

I think "Running Man" was one of the stories he released under the Bachman name. I believe he actually sued to have his name removed from this because it had little to do with the story, much like the Lawnmower Man.

The book was much better. Everytime I see the movie on TV, I always think, "If they only made it like the book...".

Amber: Why should I help you!
Ben: Because I am going to say pleeeaseee.
Amber: I am going to throw up all over you!
Ben: Go ahead won't show up on this shirt.
Ben: You must be very proud of yourself.
OMG soooo many classic Awnold lines in this movie. This post totally just made my day. I was kinda peeved we were not going to see Conan 3 due to Arnold's political run.
But The Running Man SE! Ahh that hit the spot.
