Help! Can I fix this dvd?

It was a hot day and I left a dvd in the trunk for about an hour.
When I went to play it, the dvd player said can not play this dvd.
I tried it on 3 different players and I can't even get a menu shot.
I watched this dvd 3 times before.

Could a dvd cleaner fix it?

How hot was it outside? Might have warped the DVD.

Just remember: when they tell you not to leave babies in cars on hot days, they're also talking about DVD's.

try to return it for the same item, might not work at best buy, but try wal-mart, they usually work, if they carry the movie. When you come in the store they put a sticker on it, in turn making the register person believe everythings okay, have someone come with you and have them go it, while you wait in line, should work.

Try putting a thin coat of wax on the disc, unless the disc is warped the wax will help you to play it, it fills the holes of scratches or cracked discs, so the DVD laser can read it, as a new disc. If the disc is warped their are only a handful of players, that will play a warped disc.

Whatever happens I have given you the best shot, if it doesn't play I think you will have to buy a new one.

Put your DVD player in the trunk, in the same position, for the same amount of time. Hopefully, it will warp into the same position as your disc and you'll be all set!

So basically he should boil it in hot wax in the trunk of his car. I agree with returning it for the same product. Obviously it's defective and if there wasn't a sticker on it that said not to leave it in the trunk then it's their fault anyway.

The DVD was working before he murdered it by suffucating it in the truck on a hot day. Well, I guess you can buy the same movie from some white trash retailer (Wal-Mart), put the bad disc in and return it. I mean people have not much moral to begin w/ these days anyway.

Put it back in the trunk upside down. This helps dewarp it.

So of course you show your moral superiority by using a slur against anyone who shops at Wal-Mart. Hypocrite.

The dvd didn't get warped.
A strange like spill stain appears on the dvd.
I tried a dvd cleaning machine, but it didn't help.

Actually, if I read correctly, his 'slur' was against WalMart itself, not people who shop there. Read, please.

Bro, bottom line is if it's heat warped, it's not going to play. Suggestions included the shady return, the boil, and the coaster.

In a nutshell.
