Guzzlefish confuses me. I input all my DVD's then started seeing strange things. I've got foreign horror films such as Suspiria that are classified under horror and not foreign, while other foreign horror films are classified under horror. I've got comedies that show up under childrens, comedies that show up under drama or action adventure, sci-fi that shows up under horror, horror that shows up under dramas, etc. All that and when I put in the upc code for T2: EE it comes up as T2: Ultimate Edition. That's happened several times... Anyone had trouble like this?

Also, so many titles that are not OOP are showing up as OOP I'm guessing because it has not been updated. All my Bond titles show up as OOP when several of them are no longer that. The same goes for several other titles.

Do any of you use DVD Profiler? I was using DVD aficionado but find it a bit simplistic. Is DVD Profiler somewhat like guzzlefish?

this is what turned me off guzzle. as soon as I saw that Blood Freak was listed as special interest/gen. educational....I knew I was in trouble. people are going to have opinions on what genre a title really is. therefore...you should be able to list a title as any genre you want. that would solve the problem. I went into the forums there to make that suggestion...but just got bitch-slapped around. as far as dvdaf being too simplistic, thats why I'm there. theres not enough to get screwed up...plus...you can add whatever info you want, as you see fit. just IMHO.

I do! And almost all of them are catalog titles. I rarely buy any of the crap they call movies these days.

Plus, it's slightly inefficient

Pretty straightforward:

dvdaf: Is the link I give most of the times when I say 'here are my DVDs' -- it's the easiest to browse and requires no clicking, although I don't nececessarily like how it's layed out.

dvdprofiler: A little bit more information. If someone wants to borrow something from my collection (and here I'm talking about my parents, because no one else is really allowed), they can see a lot more details, plot descriptions, etc. Also, the software frontend is more powerful than anything dvdaf or guzzlefish can dp.

guzzlefish: It has both DVDs and CDs (although most of the CDs I have aren't even in their silly little database). Also, the stats are very useful and are easy to play with.
