I'm with you. I got my set, enjoyed it (especially since there was only one place I noticed the mis-framing). Sent away for the new ones when there were available. Cost me nothing. Enjoyed them again when the new ones arrived. And I have the corrected discs just waiting there any time I'm in the mood. I don't understand why some people insist on waiting. The worst part was the five minute, toll-free phone call to request the free mailer to return the bad discs.

Back on topic, I'll buy them like I always do. Wait for a good deal when they're released. It's not like most movies are released with problems. They're the exception, not the rule.

Indy is my second favorite trilogy of all time. screw the risk, gimme the set!!!! If its screwed up, I'll exchange it. Some1 here will undoubtably write a review before I get my set in the mail, if its screwed up, Ill just exchange it. no biggie... this is INDIANA JONES we're talking about here!!!! AFA the price goes, if u really bargain hunt and use coupons and crap u can get it in the mid $30 range, I doubt stores will have it at the price.. maybe after x-mas... but I am tired of waiting. Ive been waiting since 1981!

I will be buying this set at 10:01 at my local best buy that tuesday.

BTW BTTF set ws not that bad, like i said before those even came out, there were only few frames messed up on part 2 and 3, in total less than 30 seconds of movie time. Part 1 was perfect and thats what counts, im not that picky.

I think the skeptics are missing something very important here. This is Lucas and Spielberg we're talking about. I seriously doubt we'll see anything flawed with this set.

I see the abbreviation all the time, but what does B & M stand for? Is it a retail store, or a website? I've been racking my brain and can't figure out what it's for.

will this be a 5.1 remix or are they using original sound effects, the bass on my widescreen vhs is really strong, so I hope it sounds great.

I don't preorder unless it the DVD is from another country, like the R2 Futurama Sets, where I can't go to Best Buy and buy it. As far as I'm concerned there are too many risks with Preordering to MAYBE save a couple of bucks at best, and to MAYBE get it before the release date. You got to worry about getting the right dvds, having the site change their price on you, hoping that it will survive shipping and arrive on time not a week or even a day late. I want the dvd(s) in my hands passing my inspection when I pay for it.

Why wouldn't it be certain? It's an order like anything else, its not like amazon is a fly by night operation. I KNOW i've saved money on my preorder from them.

This the same risk for EVERY online purchase, now you're not telling me you haven't purchased anything online right?

This is a stupid thread flaws as bad as BTTF happen rarely(Universal) and should not scare people into waiting even LONGER to get Indy.

with the exception of columbia house, I'll only buy dvds that are either really hard to find in stores, or from different regions. For me it's just easier and usually cheaper or just as much.

I've gotten many dvds cheaper or equal to the price of many online retailers. Some people have time and care enough to scour the internet to find a site that is a buck or to cheaper. Frankly I don't care enough or have time to do that.

Ok...While you guys are sitting patiently to find out what happens...the rest of us will be sitting in our living rooms watching Indy on DVD!

Thats why I buy at stores,if its not what it intended to be you just take it back for a refund and wait untill it gets fixed, but when you buy online you run into alot of problems and hastles when it needs to be returned,im not saying online shoping is bad but with titles like Indy,BTTF,Aliens etc.its better to buy at a store like BB or CC since there is more then one disc your chances are greater for a messed up disc.

Hey I didn't say I wasn't going to buy it on release day, I just said I wasn't going to preorder it. I teach on Tuesdays until 10:45 then I'm jumping in the Neon to get it. The other sets coming out that day will be on preorder though because they will probably be cheaper that way.

Just curious : Do you die-hard Indy fans really like Temple of Doom. I'm a huge Spielberg guy, but I just can't stomach that flick. I felt it was wrong in so many ways and only good during the mine cart scene (what would vidoe gaming be without that scene?). I kind of look at that movie in the same way I look at Godfather Part III or Alien 3 : I like to pretend it didn't really exist. So back to the question : Do you feel fondly for that film?

i loved the Temple of Doom... IMO RotLA is the best, followed by ToD and then tLC.

The whole convayer (sp) belt fight scene was great... as was the subsequent swing into the mine cart + cart chase scene. The rubber-boat bonzai skydive jump was cool... as was the opening diamond-for-hiahaci trade scene.

and oh yeah, the part where indy has come out of his trance and goes to save the kids... where the mine cart light comes on him and he looks pist and then knocks the tar out of some punk guard guy who then goes flying/sliding over the gravel... that was kick azz too.

though I rank RotLA as best, i really do love all 3 movies and cant wait for the 4th movie. I'll go see as many as they will make, Indy is just awesome. Its the combo of Lucas, Spielberg, Ford and J. Williams that just results in movie magic.

I for one will be buying Indy on the day of release. I made the mistake of waiting for BTTF V2 to hit the stores, and I waited, and waited. And when I finally realized that it wasn't happening I picked up the original release and missed out on the low "week of release" deals. Ended up getting it at Target a couple months back for $34.99.

Of course DDD now has it at @29.99, so thanks to Targets 90 day return policy, I'll be taking it back when the new one arrives!

I agree all of the discs from Paramount have been received and play well, for example all of the Star Trek Movies and directors cuts are playing well, they were all made by Paramount. I have ordered the pre-order the 4 disc Indy set
already. I like to pre-order the company has faith in me, just like I have faith that the company will deliver as promised

All ordered over a corded phone, the safest way to use your credit card over the internet. I use the internet for window shopping, but I order on their toll free AKA WATS (Wide Area Telephone Service, free call for customer and a collect call for the company) line.
