a-team on dvd?
is it me or is every crappy tv series in history being put on dvd except my beloved A-team? whats the deal, the show was a heck of a lot more popular than some of the poop thats coming out on dvd these days so why isn't it being done? This is my fav show of all time... the intro sequence is the best in the history of television... so it'd be great if they'd release it... any1 hear anything about this or know why they arent putting it on dvd? Info appreciated, TIA,

Well, there are the 4 R2 releases. Mostly later episodes, seasons 3 and 4, if I recall things correctly. Columbia House has 30 episodes out on disc, covering just about the first 2 seasons, with a couple of episodes missing here and there.
The R2 discs are not that bad looking - much better than one would expect for a 20+ year old TV show. I cant speak for the R1 versions - mine havent shown up yet.

season 5 was totally forgettable anyway. boy, did that show take a dive when they started working for the government. and the concept of eddie the f/x guy was totally wasted; he got into trouble more often than amy did in the first season.

How very strange - a handful of my discs showed up. Two of them were in the larger DVD cases, with only 2 episodes per disc. Two of them, however were in the slim cases (like what Family Guy season 1 was in) - and had three episodes per disc.

"I have been talking to Universal Playback regarding the A-Team convention and they have confirmed to me that there are no further A-Team releases planned at this time. The main reason for this is the music copyrights, I'm not sure of the ins and outs, but when I asked the man in charge just last month thats what he quoted to me - they are having problems clearing music for episodes they wish to release.
Obviously, it goes without saying that if enough demand is shown for the series to continue being released UP could be persuaded to put more effort into it - I have ideas planned at the convention for getting UP's attention!"

yeah, the series did start going downhill when the a-team went back to doing gov work... still, Id luv to have the first 3-4 seasons on DVD... it'd be great if they had some good extras for the discs also... behind the scenes/interviews and such. Hopefully they can get the music thing figured out.

Further - I wonder if this extends to other shows - Knight Rider, The 6 Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman and so on. The whole line seems to have stalled out - not a disc from them in about a year now.
