Here is a total review of the day of the dead special edition http://members.tripod.com/drlogan/updates.htm
The guy that wrote this review helped out with the DVDs production..... anyway, it looks pretty damn cool.

This set looks great. I'm very happy to see that AB reinstated the UFDC "sting" that appeared at the beginning of the old Media VHS version (and was missing from their previous DVD). That's the way I first saw the film way back when and to me, that logo is a part of the film.
Kinda strange about the slightly different dialogue in a couple of lines, but I can live with it.

The picture may be viewed as more composed and the other things "empty information", but I still would have preferred having the movie multibox, or true anamorphic so that the whole picture can fit into a black matte.

Is he saying the disc isn't in anamorphic widescreen (it is), that he wants the movie reframed to a scope aspect ratio, that his set's overscan is lopping off too much, or what?

That sentence confuses me too. What is "multibox"? I think that he would prefer that the DVD was presented open-matte, as he thinks that the framing is too tight, but I'm not sure what he is getting at here, as far as fitting the "whole picture into a black matte".

As if I wasn't stoked enough about this! As usual for me, the first thing I'll be doing is listening to Savini.
Oh, I don't get the "multibox"/reframing either.
