Still haven't received my replacement. Been over a month. Getting annoyed.

I was in the same boat. My replacement came mid last week after waiting around the same length of time. I would give it until the end of this week and jet off an e-mail.

Btw, the replacement works fine, and the films are very cool...

That's good to know. I'll try to be patient for a little longer. And very good to know that the replacement actually works and it was our fault like BMW implied.

Oh, did anyone get charged for the shipping for the replacement? Hope not. Sight unseen for a promo DVD, four bucks is fine, but eight isn't, IMO.

Yeah, it really pissed me off too that they blamed us. Especially when I told them I tried it in three different players. I didn't see a charge appear, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Still waiting for my replacement (2 weeks so far).

I also mentioned that it didn't work on 3 different players and on a computer DVD-rom. They gave the same BS answer that it was my compatibility problem and a replacement would be sent.

Does BMW make their own brand of player that the original disc only plays on? That's the only way I could see it as my problem. I guess their response was shifting the blame to the buyer so that we couldn't dispute it with our CCs (or at least ask for a refund).

I honestly think a batch was made with nothing on it...

Thanks for the update on the charge. Call me cheap, but I don't want to pay for a frisbee in an odd case.

Yeah, with all the people in this thread stating that the disc wouldn't play on such a wide variety of players, BMW's statement is inane. I didn't think about the refund or dispute issue; you've probably hit the nail right on the head. Which actually pisses me off further; their profit margin on the cars is probably high enough that they could afford to give the DVDs away free.
