Has anybody heard anything about a R1 release of this? I've waited for a while now and am coming close to buying the EC or Substance dvd of this, but i've heard horrible things about the transfer. Who owns the rights to this anyway? This could make for a kick ass Anchor Bay release!

if you want to wait for whenever, thats up to you. the EC Deluxe is not perfect...but neither am I...so I'm not that down on it. I've had it for a year and watched it maybe 3 or 4 times and I love it everytime. keep in mind that it seems about 5 min is missing from the EC title....although I'm not clear what...maybe someone will chime in. if it's that drastic...I may pick up the other all region disc that claims to have a complete un-cut version.

I have the Substance version. I also have no clue to what is cut out of it. I hope this title will eventually get a well-deserved SE dvd release. Anchor Bay? Blue UnderGround? Though, I believe when I watched the "I Drink Your Blood" disc Grindhouse had Cannibal Holocaust listed as a "Coming Attraction"?

Cannibal Holocaust is indeed a Grindhouse title. I have seen their print exhibited theatrically, and it is beautiful.

Actually from what i heard, the Substance version is the full Uncut version. How's the quality on it by the way?

i am multi-region capable, but usually i'll hold off on buying something from another region if there is rumor of an r1. i'm glad i did for versus!

i will pick up the grindhouse version if it ever surfaces.
