Wings of Desire 5.1 problem?

I watched Wings of Desire tonight---what a wonderful movie. Anyway, on the 5.1 track, the characters' thoughts were so low in the mix they were almost unintelligible, but sounded fine on the 2.0 track. Anyone else have this problem?

I didn't notice when I watched it, though I did think the voices sounded a little hollow at times (and not the intentional hollowness of the thoughts). Unsupported, I guess.

Not had chance to watch mine yet....however the R2 version had an audio drop out lasting 15 minutes or so (Anchor Bay UK did recall them) so i'm expecting this not to be an issue with the R1.

Yeah, I noticed that - maybe a remastering problem?
