1998...Porky's, Marked for Death, Hope Floats, Predator, Young Frankenstein and...whatever else was in Fox's first wave of titles.
(it's been a while, and dammit if I can't remember back that far!)

Cheers,
Erik

Well I think these are required every six months or so, and it has been November since the last one.

Can anyone else say that End of Days, Final Destination, and Pitch Black were their first three dvds?

Then I bought Blade and M:I 2. This was back in 2001, I believe.

Over 200 dvds later.....

Summer 1999, Con Air

I got a DVD-ROM b/c I hear you could play movies on it. I didn't buy my first DVD for several months. They said the video and audio quality was much better than VHS, so for this reason, I got an action movie. I spent $25 back then! If I could do it again, I'd buy Rocky 4.

I bought The Fifth Element and Starship Troopers for a friend for Christmas, but it turned out he had both already. So I kept them for myself and bought him something else.

At the time I didn't have a DVD player or anything, but I figured I'd eventually get one. I can't remember what year that was.

I can't remember what I bought first to start replacing my collection after my house was broken into and they were stolen.
