I think the first two DVDs I bought were Don Juan DeMarco and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, before I even got my player. Don Juan was the first one I watched on my own player. I think the first DVD I watched was Sleepy Hollow, on my friend's DVD player, in 2000. Man, I swear, all my friends had DVD players before me and I was the one who wanted one so bad. I think the second DVD I saw was Baseketball, but that might've been the first and Sleepy Hollow second. I'm not entirely sure.

While I did receive several from my brother-in-law as Christmas gifts to go with then new player, the first one I bought (which, of course, is what counts) was Blade Runner. The minute I found out it was on DVD, I ran out an bought it. I'll do it again as soon as whoever is holding it up released the CE version.

The first DVD I ever saw was Jumanji(the original bare bones release). I had just gotten back from seeing Alien Resurrection at the theater and my parents were watching it on their newly purchased DVD player. It looked and sounded great, but I still didn't know much about the format and refused to let go of laserdiscs.
The first DVD I ever bought I believe was Legal Wreckin 2(again the original non-anamorphic release). I had gotten a new computer in August 1998 and it came with a DVD-Rom player. That's when I really became hooked on the format.

I remember I bought a DVD player before there was really anything out that I wanted on DVD. I ended up getting R.E.M. Roadmovie, simply to have something to use in my player. that was about 5 1/2 years ago, I think I have somewhere around 250 DVDs now. Also remember the Player cost me about $700 at the time, if only I knew how cheap they would be today.
