Dirty Pair was pretty funny. In fact I never replaced my VHS so I don't know if it is even on dvd
ADV just released their "Perfect Collection" set of Dirty Pair Flash; three disks, 400 minutes. Watched it this past weekend, well worth it.

You must be talking about Tenchi GXP.

the first half of the Trigun series is sorta funny, then it gets super dramatic, so although it might not be exactly what your looking for I would highly reccomend it especially if you like a Spike Speigal type hero (from Cowboy Bebop), it's one of my favorite series

I just finished "Love, Hina" and I thought it was okay, but not great. Loved Tenchi, both the OVAs and Tenchi Universe.

I'd also reccomend Dai Guard. About some office drones who are the only ones who can pilot a giant robot to save Japan. The only thing is they work for a company that is really cheap, and always took the lowest bid. Tag lines from the series: "Office workers saving the world!" and "To serve and defend, but not to spend."

Another great series (that's only 2 DVD long) is "Those Who Hunt Elves." Three people from our universe get transported to a sword and sorccery (sp?) world. To get back home, they have to find 5 spell fragments that are tatooed somewhere on the bodies of 5 elves. (All of the elves are female of course.) So they travel the countryside looking for elves and stripping them. The only thing they have to help them in this strange, new world is an elf magician, and a really big tank.

Hope this helps,

-Videophile

P.S. Buy the DVDs for heaven's sake!

Jubei-Chan The Ninja Girl - Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch

is extremly funny and of the wall comedy of course not as much as Excel Saga but very funny. Not to many people watched that show I guess because of the kind odd title.

Well, I'm going to be the odd one out and say that I find "comedy" shows to very rarely be funny. The comedic moments in dramas, I normally find to be a lot funnier.

One Piece has been licensed by Funimation. No word on a release date though.
