Online Rental Question???
Does anyone know of a service like Netflix that rents lesser known titles. Like lower budget horror flicks and more indi DVDs. I've seen some DVDs in stores that look good but not enough to pick up as a blind buy, but in turn can't find them for rent either.
Thanks for any info...

http://www.greencine.com is the absolute best, but their only distribution center is in San Francisco, so if you are on the east coast the shipping times would be a negative. But it's probably still a good value for people on the east coast @ as low as $16 per month, considering the selection. Even if you can only get eight DVDs per month, that's just $2 per rental for stuff you would never find at Netflix, let alone your local video store.
And I am in no way affiliated with them, just a happy customer.

I recommend Greencine with reservations. They do have a much better indy/foreign/ horror selection than Netflix does but the shipping times to the east coast are alot slower and just about everything in my rental QUEUE is a short or long wait. They dont seem to have the sheer volume of copies that Netflix has so thats a drawback.
I do like that they have harder to find releases and they seem to be run by good people but the drawbacks may force me to cancel with them in the end unless they impove the shipping times and stock more dvds of each title. Cant afford to keep Netflix and Greencine both
