Day of the Dead:SE Cover

OK, I know we are all a bit tired of the "big head" trend in DVD covers, but this time I'll forgive them.

Sorry, that's a seriously poor cut and paste job. Look at the ear, for crying out loud. Suckekeke.

Doesn't look too bad, but hopefully they'll polish it up a little first. It is kind of a crappy cut and paste job.

Overall, it's okay. Has "Day of the Dead" ever had a really good cover?

I'm not sure on the release date (anyone?) but here is the original cover of the OOP version:

I like the new version. I'm not sure (it's been YEARS) but I think it is the same or very similar to the theatrical poster I saw when it was released.

I belive that's the same as the VHS release. I'd check, but I just sold mine.

It's yellow because it's supposed to be daylight.

It's not a bad cover, but I like the cover of the old DVD better.

The LP of the film's soundtrack is just the top of this image, its simple and effective. Anchor Bay should have gone with the original one sheet of this film.

Knowing Anchor Bay, it is hard to beleive they wouldn't but some sort of (Limited, Special, Ultimate) Edition banner on the front cover.

Nice DTS:ES logo but no Anchor Bay logo?

I've a couple of AB discs with a logo on the back and the side, nowhere on the front.

As far as this cover goes, it's not that bad. It effectively points out exactly what the film is - a zombie film.

Mind you, I would have preferred the original poster art. It's very nice... the the first two DEAD movies hinted at at the top... well done!

Hey: At least it's not as bad as Michael J Fox photoshopped on the cover... or any of the 'stars' with their BIG HEADS melded together...

Decent cover. Weird there is no AB logo though.

I also like the soundtrack LP cover referred to in a previous post.

Will it matter to watch Day Of.... before Dawn Of.....?

I have seen all 3 before but not since I was a kid, and I am not buying Dawn Of.... before the good edition comes out.

not really.. The films do not have the normal trilogy arch others films do, the main over lap is the "world" they happen to be in as far as.. "ahhhhhh zombies!!" but that is about it.. Not like one film will spoil the others films for you, nor is it like ya might miss some sort of the character growth of a zombie over all 3 films. hehe They just sort of like to eat brains from the start ya know..

as for the cover.. not too bad being so few dvd covers are yellow so might be a nice change.

No, it won't really matter if you're concerned with the storyline continuity. However I do wish they would release them in the order of theatrical release.

zeek

EDIT: I'll vote in that I love the cover...
