Chaplin Collection Vol. 1 question??
Any Chaplin fans out there??
As someone who loves Charlie Chaplin I don't think I've ever seen The Great Dictator or Limelight. How do they compare to the other 2 films Gold Rush & Modern Times????
..Also what are considedred his best films overall??
PS Maybe it's just me but I found his comedy funny and tragic at the same time??..For "silent" films they had a lot more emotion then some of the talkies we see today...
Cheers!

Just my opinion (major feature films only):
First Tier
The Gold Rush (1925)
City Lights (1931)
Modern Times (1936)
Second Tier
The Kid (1921)
The Circus (1928)
The Great Dictator (1940)
Third Tier
A Woman of Paris (1923)
Monsieur Verdoux (1947)
Limelight (1952)
My favorite of his shorts is The Pilgrim (1923)
