Of course I'm insulted. An entertaining film like Identity shouldn't be cursed with a DVD cover resembling some bottom-shelf Burt Reynolds B-movie.

The original poster was marvelous.

I know it's only a cover, and I'm looking forward to the release, but still... it's the difference between a GOOD DVD release and a GREAT DVD release.

Regardless of the crappy cover, I don't think it's a movie I'd buy. Fairly enjoyable in the theater, but I can't see it having much replay value.

Sorry, that's really stupid. I'd say things like extra features or a DTS track would make a GOOD release a GREAT release, not the cover art. Hell, I see it once and then stuff the DVD in a shelf, where it remains totally unseen.

I am not at all surprised, but certainly am disappointed... I thought the IDENTITY poster was one of the better theatrical posters in a long time... it's been seeming to me that of late, marketting departments have been getting lazy, just lining up the cast in a standard shot...but the Identity poster was so much more than that... it's a damn shame what they did to it...but I guess that's their business...

No, it isn't, it's upsetting. Like I've said before, the film's what's important to me - it's just a horrid fact that a beautiful possible design was nixed in favour of the blob of heads.

God DANG that's one hideous cover.

Sigh. Another great poster ruined.

DVD Answers has posted a just-announced revised version of the artwork for Identity. I guess someone was listening (?).

Certainly not as bad as before, but the poster art is still tops (notice that the original poster graphic is in a small square on the spine - oh how they tease us!).

That is much better, I'm so glad they changed it. The last one looked really....awkward. I don't know, it just looked bad. This one still isn't as good as the handprint poster, but it'll do. Now I don't have to kill myself and life is still worth living. Thanks Columbia/TriStar.

If they were actually listening, the picture on the spine would be on the front.

Replace the word "tease" with "mock."

In a really sad way it's hilarious how they had to throw in the "TWO THUMBS UP!" blurb.

The alt. ending has like 5 seconds of Malcolm killing people... that was not included in the theatrical version. Go figure...
