next group of SUPERBIT releases?

i've not found any official announcements here or anywhere and was wondering if anyone has any ideas regarding the titles in the next group of superbit releases? aside from the 4 titles confirmed for Aug. 5th?
i'd like to see those titles that are actually worthy of a superbit release, especially Final Fantasy The Spirits Within and Godzilla 1998. in addition, id like to eventually see leon:the professional, month python and the holy grail, tears of the sun, the blue and the grey, cliffhanger, cowboy bebop, dr. strangelove, glory, in the line of fire, lawrence of arabia, replacement killers, and spiderman.

I'll preorder Leon, if its unrated. Since the current dvd is bare bones with the exception of the unrated cut, might as well get the superbit.

interesting, considering how good the video transfer is on the LoA limited edition. hopefully the Leon SB will have the uncut internation version rather than the US version. im still surprised theyve overlooked godzilla and final fantasy yet again, both titles that are more visually impressive than ANY of the current superbit releases, except maybe fifth element.

The only way I see that the Lawrence Of Arabia transfer could be improved on would be a reduction in EE... But when is that entirely new transfer of it being done anyhow? I was under the impression that the color timing was not correct and that it would eventually be redone?

The Leon Superbit is great news, I'm going to assume it will be the international cut version. I was holding off on buying that for some reason and will now definitely wait.

I'd say Tears Of The Sun and Spiderman will probably be out before the end of the year.

A Superbit release of "Leon" is something I'd love to see, especially if it's the uncut International version.

Yeah, the color timing is off... Plus, I still have minor issues with the print used for the LE - lines, pops, dirt, etc - but it may be the best that we'll ever get due to the condition of the source elements. I'm generally all for a Superbit release but I have my doubts about Lawrence of Arabia... Unlike the Das Boot SB, which I use only as a long film / double disc reference which has shown much improvement, I'm not so sure that LOA can be improved upon in it's current state with a Superbit... But, we shall see... Maybe the DTS track will convince me, but I'm not terribly optimistic...

...and Hook. I think the release date for all 3 is Sept. 9th.

I predict the next set of Superbits will mainly feature crappy movies that nobody is buying in their current version, so the studios will hope people will buy them in superbit version since they know a better quality picture of a crappy movie magically makes it a better movie.

Not really interested in any of these, but after watching Adaptation last night I'm reminded of how much I LOVE the Superbit menus. No tiring animation, no "Are you absolutely SURE you want DTS?"--just select select and ready to roll. I like that.

In other words, not much will change from what they've released already.

I agree. I HATE animated, motion menus. What a waste of time.

I am curious about Black Hawk Down. I just bought the 3-disc set and there is a lot of "stuff" on the movie disc. I mean three audio tracks plus many commentaries along with menus, filmographies, etc. with the movie on disc 1.

Another vote x100 for hating dumbass animated menus.

I'd really like if they'd put both versions of Leon on the disc, as far as I can tell it could be done with simple seemless branching as there were just scenes added.

One can hope..

In one of the last threads about Superbits, I actually mentioned Leon as a great film deserving of this treatment.. glad to see it happening. I'll also pick up Hook. Just need to get the Jumanji Superbit from Japan!
