"Old School" subtitle problems?

Curious if anyone else had a problem like this. I was watching the widescreen version of OLD SCHOOL on my ps2 tonight and checked out the commentary. I put on the subtitles (for the film, not the commentary) and began watching. About twice so far during the movie (just a bit over halfway through now) the subtitles froze on the last comment said. I had to toggle through all 7 audio options to get the english subtitles working again. Never had a problem like this before.

Also, did anyone else think the first half of the commentary was recorded a bit low? I had trouble understanding what was being said, and had to turn my volume way up to make it clear. When the layer (hope thats the right term) kicked in though, it was nice, clear and loud

I didn't have the same problem, but I did have 1:
At 0:01:31 the words "VIVA LA FRATERNITE" appear on my screen but only if the subtitles are OFF.

Did anyone see the option for subtitles on the commentary track? I'd never seen this before. Is this new, or has it been around for awhile...
