Need help in (attempting to) buy Scarface on DVD

I'm well aware of the countless bootlegs on half.com and eBay. My question is do any of these "DVDs" actually feature a good transfer or some of the special features from the official Universal release?

I ask since I recently viewed the movie on a 2 file DIVX transfer that was quite impressive...much better than the Collector's Edition transfer.

I'd also say to wait.

The original was said to not have a very good transfer, one of the worst transfers in DVD history some say. So, for the prices it is going for, it is better to wait.

Wait.... a decent DVD will eventually show up.

Also ... be aware that discussing the availability and/or quality of any bootleg DVD is NOT permitted per the rules of the forum.

The lucky ones (like me) got the original release (yes a sh1tty transfer) cheap (Columbia House), then sold it on Ebay as OOP for $$$$.

Now I can buy 2 Special Editions in September if I felt like it.

And I was just wondering, "where can I sell my Scarface DVD now that the new one was finally announced."

Funny how this stuff works out...I was real close to just buying a copy off eBay, and the next day this news comes out. Very strange.

But hell, that puts an end to this topic. September 9th can't come soon enough...I'm there when the stores open.

As will everyone else. Ever since MTV Cribs has appeared, with rappers claiming this to be the best movie ever, the original, crappy DVD has been red-hot. If they don't stock this well, it will be sold out for a while...
