What's the deal with the Universal Monsters DVDs?

Why are they out of Print? Is Universal planning on rereleasing them or putting out newer versions? Please tell.

Hopefully. These have to be some of the stupidest movies to go out of print ever. I think if they popped out the versions they already have at a reasonable price, they'd sell a ton of them (especially the first two Frankenstein movies and Dracula).

They will probably be rereleased in conjunction with the release of Universal's Van Helsing film. (hopefully with a price drop!)

Yes, but what about the ones not yet released at all like:

The Black Cat
The Raven (1935)
Murders in the Rue Morgue
Tower of London

...and the later Sci-Fi flicks like:

Tarantula
This Island Earth
The Incredible Shrinking Man
Revenge of the Creature and The Creature Walks Among Us?

Isn't that Summer 2004? Hmmm... seems like a long wait.

Thankfully I was able to find 1 copy of CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON at some mom & pop shop in another town for $20. Never knew it came out until after it was OOP. Excellent DVD! I dont see how much better they could make that one.

I bought all of these as they were released...except for the second wave mummy releases. Mummy was my least favorite classic monster, and I thought "eh, I'll get them later." Now they're two of the most expensive oop's in the collection.
