The first image you have is not going to be the inner cover of the ee. It is one of the many theatrical posters used for the film. The bb website shows no image whatsoever.

I can't believe you thought that cheesy poster art was going to be used for the dvd cover!

The first image is the cover to the OOP VHS version of the Extended Edition of T2 (with an extra VHS for interviews as to why the changes were made).

Yes - everyone knows there has never been cheesy poster art used on DVD before!

Those are the images I know of for this set. Some are comparisons to the UE version.

Ok kids

Time for the $1 million dollar question:

How does the Extreme version differ from the Ultimate Edition?

I mean it looks like it has a bunch of new stuff on it, but does it also include everything the UE had on it? Or is this another case, like Memento, where the newer edition loses good things from the previous one?

Just want to know if I should fleabay my UE and pick this up. I hate these multiple edition dvd games. I figured the UE would be the last one...

Cool, thanks

The special features on this two-disc set really can't hold a candle to the god-like Ultimate Edition, but they're not meant to. As DVD master producer Van Ling says in his little introduction to the disc (in the insert), this set is more of a companion to the Ultimate Edition rather than a replacement. It's actually pretty similar to the Lord of the Rings DVD releases as none of the extras are duplicated between the two sets.

Basically, you'll want to keep the Ultimate Edition for its amazing special features while having the Extreme Edition in your collection when you want to see Terminator 2 with the absolute best video quality possible. Big fans of the film will also want to own both discs due to the excellent commentary on the Extreme Edition and the wealth of information in the Interactive Mode.
