Hey this dvd is so good, grated i would have loved to see a full cure concert (which are running 2-3 hours these days), i never thought bloodflowers was any good untill i watched the bloodflowers set on this disc and i have kind of re-discoverd it, the concert was shot in HI DEF so it looks SOOOO GOOOD, i picked mine up at Tower Records since best buy did not have anymore and it was the same price at tower and they stocked a ton.

A definite buy for me in the very near future..i saw it here in the UK on May 27th the same day that the Led Zeppelin DVD came out, which i opted for instead.

Ooh, it does look and sound really good.
I've only gotten a chance to watch a few songs so far, but I'm at work, so cut me a break.
Luckily I'm setting up a few new laptops for my office and they came with combination DVD/CD-RW drives. How convenient.
Anyway, even on a laptop screen, the disc looked and sounded pretty good. And the performance seems fantastic, too. I can't wait to get it home.

This is so much better than I would ever have imagined. I personally didn't like the band's output nearly as much once Porl and Boris left the band. This DVD proved me very wrong. An AMAZING performance by all. Smith is at his best here. All band members, especially Simon (bass), contribute 110%. I skimmed through both discs today and ended up watching and cranking up the entire "Disintegration" set. The presentation of the material is nothing short of stunning. Granted, the Cure never were a band to improvise or stray too much from the original recorded material, but there are some minor subtleties throughout the entire set. Running over 3 hours, this will take some time to absorb, but given the picture and audio quality, I would find it hard to believe that a fan of concert DVDs in general wouldn't absolutely love this. Get it. It's worth paying a little more to own it. I only wish more artists that did concert performances took all of these kinds of specs into account. You get HD video, anamorphic widescreen, 5.1 sound, and a good amount of interview footage. No over-produced, cheesy visuals. Okay, I'll stop now.

Well, damn, I might have to get this. Sounds pretty good.
There's a part of me that gets really frustrated when bands release newer material, concerts in particular, on DVD and seemingly ignore their older material. "Cure in Orange," anyone?
I could really go for a complete anthology of all of the Cure's videos, as well as DVDs of "Show" and "Play Out."
Same goes for Iron Maiden. Despite being a monster fan, I just can't bring myself to buy "Rock in Rio" until I have "Live After Death" in my hands.

Anyone here was able to get a copy in Canada, Toronto in particular? I went to HMV, Sunrise plus other stores and they keep telling me it comes out June 10th!!!
Also, anyone knows any good independent music stores in Toronto that might have it? Thanks.

Just as in pr0n, its fun to watch, but most people aren't going to be up to take part.
Seriously, I'm tempted to check this out, since someone just sent me some amazon love.

Believe it or not, you can actually get a good deal on this set at Virgin... they're running a $5-off promo for "british related releases", which brings it down to $19.99 plus tax. That's about the same as you can find it online with shipping.
And you get the Virgin "Best of British" CD sampler, which makes for a nice coaster or trip down memory lane (Buzzcocks, Jesus Jones, Bowie, Roxy Music, etc.).
