Breakfast with Girls 05-28-03 06:28 PM

For me, either:

Mod Squad, Ghostbusters II, or Fistful of Dollars.

Anyone want 'em?

Cygnet74 05-28-03 07:12 PM

I used to have (sold them off on half.com):

john carpenter's village of the damned
armegeddon - criterion collection

currently, it prolly... either young guns 2, once upon a time in china 3, episode I or II or maybe *cough* return of the jedi... eh-hem.

Monsters Crash The Pajama Party (Something Weird Video)

Content: Awful
Ability to find awful content: Awful

Someone wrote about the great "find" some of this stuff was in Film Comment Magazine.

Not only did I think it stunk, my kids thought it stunk.

Bought it for Halloween. What a disappointment.

Add one more for the Mummy Returns, but it was free.

FantasticVSDoom 05-28-03 09:09 PM

First off Im glad my wife doesn't like some of the other stuff on this list...However, she is a Vin Diesel (sp?) fan so mine is (head in shame) Fast and the Furious :(.

mdc3000 05-28-03 09:16 PM

probably Black Knight or Darkness Falls...both were gifts....

ExistenZ: the super duper Canadian version. Wanted another canadian exclusive and couldn't resist while I was up in the northern country.

EskimoJoe 05-28-03 11:37 PM

My least favorite film is Gladiator
My least favorite DVD is Ultimate Fights

Dudikoff 05-29-03 12:37 AM

The Stuff
Versus
Hercules in New York - horrible movie, funny as hell cause of young Arnie.
Legend
Monte Python Holy Grail

I hate all of these movies and will be getting rid of all of them except for Hercules.

GuitarPik 05-29-03 12:46 AM

8 Mile
Beat Street
Blue Crush
Divine Secrets
Breakin 2
Krush Groove
Romeo Must Die
The Smokers
Steel Magnolias
Stepmom
Sweet Home Alabama
True Romance

Thankfully these are all my girlfriends movies, so I didnt waste any money on these crappy movies. But it still pains me to have to see them everytime I look for a movie to watch. Hmmm maybe I should buy her her own dvd rack. :)

Not A N00b 05-29-03 01:03 AM

Probably "Good Guys Wear Black" It really is just awful, but I saw it for $7 and figured I should own at least one Chuck Norris movie.

dolphinboy 05-29-03 01:18 AM

BOYS-with Winona Ryder.

The sad thing is that I can't get rid of it because I feel like I'd be betraying Winona.

Of the more recent films, DARKNESS FALLS is worst the film that I have, but it's going to Ebay in a few weeks.

I'm surprised by some of the films mentioned here, but none more than TRUE ROMANCE. It is my personal favorite of all time and, while I can totally see someone not liking it, I never imagined it would be at the bottom of anyone's list.

"Cause you, you're part eggplant." :)

My man doesn't allow me to kill them.

victant 05-29-03 02:29 AM

Caligula - Unrated

Ginwen 05-29-03 02:52 AM

There's probably more, but I feel pretty embarrassed to own The Fast and the Furious & American Pie 2 (Full Screen, too). Both bought previously viewed from Blockbuster, with stickers in the middle, so not even really sellable.

spoon81 05-29-03 09:11 AM

Since I was able to pawn off Stepmom and Lethal Weapon 4, the worst DVD on my shelf is definately The Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps . I don't know what it is, but I just can't stand this movie. It just stinks up my collection. Time to get rid of it.

I most certainly agree! And Columbia-Tri Star had the audacity to make it a: Superbit release. What the hell were they thinking? :hscratch:

Wild Wild West....
yes... it still sits there...
It was shipped to be via C.H., before I found out I could actually return stuff to them....

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!!! I love that movie....

dhillman 05-29-03 10:49 AM

I'd have to go with Magnolia -- A blind buy and I've never watched after the first time...

illennium 05-29-03 10:55 AM

Chasing Amy is the only movie I own whose artistic value I question. It's just so hard to get rid of a Criterion.

Ronin
Jackie Brown
Blade Runner
Accidental Spy
Bullets of Love >_<
Supercop2

atimoc 05-29-03 03:52 PM

Red Heat is the DVD I like the least in my relatively small collection

SPiRAL 05-29-03 03:58 PM

Phat Beach -- Jermaine " Huggy " Hopkins and Coolio at the beach, need I say more ?

DVDho78DTS 05-29-03 05:23 PM

Well, I scanned IMDB of the movies I have and the 3 lowest being Scary Movie (5.5), Twister (5.9), & ID4 (6.0). Without even having to look there I think ID4 is actually the worst one. I like all 3 enough to keep them. For now anyway. :)

cross 05-29-03 05:56 PM

Legend of the Red Dragon ( the English Dubbed, butched, cut, and spit out version) with Jet Li

Addy 05-29-03 06:13 PM

Hmmm...probably Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

mookyman 05-29-03 06:33 PM

I Know What You Did Last Summer - local video store had a 2 for $5 used DVD sale, I wanted The Truman Show, and the next best choice after this was Rocketman.

My Bloody Valentine - A gag present this February from my girlfriend. Har har.

I do, and morely "poudly do" (its one of those guilty pleasure movies)

LakerFan1973 05-30-03 10:06 AM

Rocky 5

Hands down the worst, won't even crack it open. It came with the whole Rocky set of course...which went from the nice serious Academy Award picture in Rocky and slowly down the route of unintentional comedy with Hulk Hogan, Mr. T., Rocky and Apollo hugging in the California surf, James Brown, Dolph Lungren and the Soviet Politbureau chanting "Rocky"...thats good stuff...

But Rocky 5 was just plain bad, no guilty pleasure, unintentional comedy..just flat out awful stuff

Really, i always thought(&heard from a lot of people) that was one of the better slasher pics that came out in the rush after Halloween and F13. I actually enjoyed much more than any of the F13 films.
But sorry to get off topic.

Well, it's third from the bottom, to be exact.

You're surprised? I'm surprised people still get surprised when other people's opinions differ from their own. I'm not even saying I dislike the movie, but of all the DVDs in my collection there are three (the three I listed earlier) that I didn't buy, and would not have bought. Every other movie I own was either a gift I really wanted, or one I bought myself. And while I don't think True Romance is a bad movie (I like the scene with Hopper and Walken quite a bit) it doesn't light my fire in quite the same way as Persona or Boudu Saved From Drowning.
