They are looking for the movies that grossed the most money, not which movies were good and had quality content.

While not a great movie, the Quick and the Dead could be a kick ass film to show off a home theater if the soundtrack was done well...cool visuals and sound effects.

Starship Troopers is already one of the best looking dvd's out there. Unless it is going to be a Superbit Deluxe, why upgrade and lose out on some great extras?

Now, The Quick and the Dead might be the one I'd get. This is one of Sam Raimi's films that's always under my radar.

Bad Boys or XXX I can understand since those movies really benefit from a great DTS track even though there not the best films ever made..
I'd like to see them pick better movies Like say "Heat" or "The Fugitive" as an example
I also know that Cameron is beginning work on a Titanic SE for release next year. I would love to see that as a "Deluxe Superbit" title I think it would be amazing!!

Superbits are from Columbia, so it's doubtful you'd see any of the titles you just listed since they're from different studios. However I know Columbia has rights to Universal titles over in Europe so there ARE Superbits from Universal over there (e.g. The Bone Collector), so who knows what'll happen one day?

matome,
That explains the movie selection. I guess Columbia are running out of decent titles to showcase..
Personally I think the Superbit thing is over rated it's just a fancy name to dupe the public into thinking they're buying something better and louder!..
...Of course I'm one of those suckers who bought Das Boot and I must say it looks better and louder so there you go!

That doesn't seem to be the answer, because several of the superbit titles have mediocore (at best) box office grosses - John Capenter's Vampires for example, barely broke the $20 million mark.

The following from Columbia/Tr-Star..regardless if you like em or not, could definitely benefit in the DTS sound and/or picture quality better than those listed for scheduled Superbit release.
6th Day (DTS in Korea)
Brainscan
Cliffhanger
Formula 51 (DTS in Korea)
Ghostbusters
Jumanji
Last Action Hero (Superbit in Japan)
Leon, The Professional
Replacement Killers
Run Lola Run (DTS in Germany)
Thunderheart

The "Quick and the Dead" should be pretty cool with a DTS track, I remember the soundtrack in the theatre and the SDDS soundmix was amazing.
(fingers thumping top of table): I'm still waiting for:
The Messenger: Story of Joan of Arc
Godzilla
