As you may know, this disc is OOP. Best bet is a trustworthy trader on the Exchange board. My understanding is that most of the copies on eBay are boots, so be careful there. Maybe someone here can give an update on the possible re-release?

Also, you may want to edit your thread title before someone mousewhips you for having a misleading subject line. Maybe something along the lines of "Scarface availability?" would suffice and keep some of the rabid posters at bay until another time...

Scarface has been out of print for some time now. You will not find them in any retail stores. As mentioned above, your best bet is probably the Exchange section.

I would normally refer you to eBay for OOP titles, but Scarface is by far the most bootlegged DVD out there. I would say a conservative estimate is 95% of Scarface DVD's on eBay are bootlegs.

Why not wait for the newer edition that is supposed to be coming later this year?

Keep in mind, you are going to have to trade or exchange about $60.00 in order to get this title.

If I were you, I'd wait until October and pick up the SE.

Is that speculative or a rumored fact?

I also have a genuine scarface copy that I'm willing to trade. Since I've never traded here I would trade with a gold trader and send first, only if the person is gold

Dude!, wait till this fall.
This is the 20th anniv. of this movie which came out at the movies in Dec. 1983.
Looks like that's what there waiting for, if Dec. comes and goes then buy it off Ebay.

I don't understand those who would pay/trade that much for one of the worst looking DVD's every produced! It is pure trash (productionwise) and is a disgrace for the studio to have put out such a barbage quality DVD for this magnitude film!

I would NOT advise anyone to buy the current DVD and wait for the properly done SE when it comes out!
