Come one everyone, I'm pretty sure there is a law that says if you own a DVD player, you MUST own The Matrix. If not you might as well throw the DVD player in the trash.

I picked up the 2-pack (Matrix and Revisited) at Best Buy for 22.99, with the free Reloaded ticket offer.
I already had a copy of Matrix, but I wanted the ticket and Revisited, so I gave my original one to my brother. I am going to get the Animatrix when it comes out, and probably the next two movies as well, although a nice box would be nice for all of them.

It was the third DVD I bought, but it desperately needs to be redone. "The Matrix" should be reference quality, but now it's just a great example of how much the DVD format has improved over the years. I also own "The Matrix Revisited" and I'll be buying "The Animatrix" on June 3.

Yep, I think I got it from reel.com back in the day. I actually just finished watching it again. It was better than I remember it.

I just watched the DVD tonight, that I have owned for ages. I can't believe all the stuff that I had forgotten about the movie. Now I am just even more ready for Reloaded.

I own it, it's the 293rd DVD I bought (partly because I watched the video so many times--in fact, I still haven't watched the DVD).

No, I would never own this piece of crap. I now bash this movie because I got tired of bashing Titanic.
But seriously, yes I own it. It is a solid action film with good effects, a very good DVD presentation, and a more thought-provoking than average script for the genre.

Most. Overrated. Movie. Ever. No plans to ever own it.
I mean, for all the credit this flick is given for being "revolutionary," I found it to be incredibly derivative. Take 1/3 any Hong Kong "wire-fu" flick made in the last 20 years... 1/3 "Dark City"... and 1/3 "Ghost In The Shell"... up the budget by 20 million or so... put in blender and hit "puree."
Voila! I give you... The Matrix!

(Guess I'll wait for the Box Set Special Editions that will most likely come our way).
