How many dvds do you have on your wishlist?

For a long time i had more on my wishlist then i actually owned.
I finally was able to flip flop this and now i own more.. but its close and my wishlist never stops growing.

I currently own about 217 dvds and i have about 200 dvds on my wishlist.

Feels like i can never catch up because new dvds are always coming out.. and unless i somehow spend over 2 grand to buy 200 dvds... it's always going to be this way...

Anyone else have a huge amount of dvds on their wishlist?

you can see my wishlist in my sig.

I still have 3 VHS that I am waiting for a DVD release:

Wavelength
The Keep
Naked Lunch

There are a few that are released but I have to budget myself with getting them:

Metropolis (Kino)
Die Nibelungen (Kino)

There are a few that will be released but I also have to budget for but that list is so long that I will not burden you with it.

The only DVDs on my wish list are ones that haven't been released yet. As far as DVDs that have already been released, I pretty much have all the ones I want at this point. I currently have 46 DVDs on my DVD Aficionado wish list (in separate subfolders for each month) and another 10 that I've pre-ordered.

Not many... Mainly higher $$ items like The Twilight Zone box sets or a Criterion or two that I just haven't gotten to yet (The Third Man comes to mind).

JZ, get the TZ TOS Gold Collection. I just picked it up last week off ebay for ~ $300. The episodes are in chronological order, 5 bonus discs, & a TZ t-shirt to boot. It actually costs less than the 1-5 sets. They're limited to 2500 sets so pick it up asap. You won't regret it...Same could be said for The Third Man CC.

_______

I have a dozen on my A-list (must have) & forty or so on my B-list(waiting for price drops or upgrades)

I stopped keeping a tally. Every time I closed in at 100 wants, more stuff is released that I want.

So I keep it at a modest over 100 number.

Agreed, i want to only buy movies i really want. And i have slowly trimmed that wishlist down some.
but still i'm around 190... and that doesn't include tv sets or anything... only tv set that i would like that isn't on my list would be the 3 stooges dvds.

anyone have 2.5k i can have so i can get rid of my wishlist?

It's usually around 100 for me. Too bad many of them are Criterion or boxed set releases. Oh well, that's why I work... to buy more DVDs.

Wishlist = 324 with about 100 to 200 to add
Owned = 504

As of 5/2/03. I need to upload my revised lists since I've made purchases between now and then.

Once I've purchased all of the catalog titles I want it'll be much easier to keep up with the new releases I want.

Check my signature for my lists.

Er.. maybe about 20 or 30, but that's more like a list of stuff I'd pickup with extra cash. The DVDs I really want, I really go out and buy.

wow .. happy to see some guys worse off then me..

I've had to devise a strategy now to how i buy my wishlist items..
I usually use dvd profilers wish list price finder tool and check the cheapest dvds out there.

Then i usually try and buy those, not because they are cheaper, but in case of them going oop.

just feels like it will be impossible to ever catch up..

i finally made myself catch up on dvds that i had bought and not watched.. i had about 70 dvds not watched.. from feb to april all i did was watch them. got down to about 6 and just placed a new order at CH.

never ending stream of dvds.. damm that lotto ticket, hit just once!!!!!

Seventy-eight. I update the list about once a month, and usually the amount of titles I've acquirred is nearly equal to the amount of newly released titles that I'm adding to the list. So, like many of you it seems, it never ends!!!

But I'm okay with that.

356 in a "My Movies" wishlist at IMDb

I write a weekly review thread over there in Film General and Classic Film and add new and old titles when others highlight what look to be interesting titles. As of now, I own about 1,000 DVDs and have about 70 on order.

I've got about 200 titles on my wishlist right now. That number would be a lot higher as I am constantly thinking of titles to add to my wishlist, but always forget to do so.

My wishilist is pretty low. It mostly consists of Babylon 5 season sets and Ken Burns Baseball. I had a pretty good size wishlist at one time but I slowly widdled it down over time. I pretty much have all the current releases that are must haves for me. Just really keeping up with current releases now.
