anyone else enjoy "It Came From Beneath the Sea" dvd, as much as I?
just wanted to give a quick plug for this dvd...in case anyone forgot about the release. I must say, although light on new extras, this pleased me almost as much as last years Them!! dvd. for the first time on home video, the film is presented in it's original theatrical aspect ratio with anamorphic enhancement. sadly, this is the final release for the Ray Harryhausen Signature Collection. did anyone else get this, and if so, were you pleased?
3 titles that are still missing from my collection: The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, Valley of Gwangi and One Million Years B.C. , are all Harryhausen essentials. anyone have new info on these titles hitting dvd soon?

I looked and looked and couldn't find this at the local Best Buy. As for Border (my second option), they didn't have any new release out (at 3pm yesterday).
I'll have another look at Borders today. If it's not there, it's DDD.

Got mine from DDD and watched the trailer last night. Looks pretty incredible Getting this and The Day Th Earth Stood Still this year has been wonderful. Now I'm just waiting for the Thing from another World in the Fall! Woo Hoo!

I like the Harryhausen films without the matting; the TV version of this title shows a lot more of his animation. I think I'm just used to seeing these films on TV and when I see the DVDs that crop the top and bottom off it doesn't seem right. Still, he claims they shot these with allowances for cropping up to 1:85, so the DVD isn't incorrect, but to me, it isn't preferred.
I wish they'd just include both versions as they did on the 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH disc.

I just realized we have good news coming in October. both Beast From 20,000 Fathoms and Valley of Gwangi will be released! also of interest, The Black Scorpion will arrive in October as well.
