Since a lot of my movies are still sealed cuz I don't have time to watch them, that means that a lot of my snappers are still sealed. I keep most of my receipts too so I just take it back to the store and switch the snapper with a keepcase if I see it released at that store. I've done this with Austin Powers 1 & 2 and Friday.

I've seen Next Friday released in a keepcase at BestBuy, but not at Circuit City yet (where I bought it).

I've also yet to see Blade and the first Rush Hour in a keepcase yet.

Dabaomb, looks like you got a very lenient store that you could do the exchange. Some stores like BestBuy wouldn't do an exchange even if yours is still sealed, after the 30-day return/exchange period expires.

I've only done it at Circuit City so far. But if any store wants to be anal about it, just buy the one with the amaray case and return the snapper cuz they have the same UPC code. You bought the DVD at the same store, so I don't think there's an ethical issue here.

Plus most of those stores still sell stock of both snappers & keepcases

Still looking for Blade and Rush Hour in a amaray case.
Where did you buy it from? Has anyone else seen Dumb and Dumber in a keepcase anywhere?

I got mine at Circuit City but Best Buy should have it too.

Future Shop here in Canada has quite a few amaray versions of their old snappers. I've know I've seen Blade, Austin Powers 1&2, Dumb and Dumber and Lost in Space in keepcases. There may have been others too.

I may rebuy Austin Powers 1&2 eventually (yes, just for the cases). They're already in stock at my local Best Buy. But they still only have snappers for Final Destination.

Sounds like the snapper case will be a collectable before long.

If you buy used discs from Hollywood video they are always in keepcases. They get special editions without UPCs when the official release is a snapper. But they also lack inserts, so it is a toss-up.

Thanks for the Hollywood Video advice. Went there today and picked up Training Day, Welcome To Collinwood, Death To Smoochy, Insomnia, The Majestic and Ocean's Eleven. They had Harry Potter and Royal Tenenbaums but I wasn't sure if they were the 2-disc editions.

I could care less about the insert as long as I get the movie in a amaray case. To think of it, I don't think I've ever looked at an insert in my entire life with the intention of finding a certain scene.

I bought both of those from Hollywood Video, and they included both discs in each set.

Picked up both Harry Potter's from Hollywood Video. They look great. Also got Swordfish in a keepcase. I noticed they also have keepcases for The Color Purple instead of it's digipak counterpart. They also have E.T. with a actually title on it's side. Will have to try to find that one used somehow. I hate the E.T. digipak that's out now.

I've officially seen "Dumb & Dumber" in an amaray case being sold at Blockbuster today. Maybe I'll get it if theres no chance for a SE.
