Slaughterhouse Five re-release?

What are the chances this will come out again? I missed out on the first release and don't quite feel like sacrificing a month's worth of eating for what looks like to be a bare bones disc, but I sure would love to own this movie on DVD. I did a search on the boards for this but didn't find any topics on it.

Naturally, Criterion would be the ideal studio to do a re-release on this.

I think the movie is a great little cult flick. It helps to have read the book though. And it does get better with repeat viewings.

Breakfast of Champions WAS pretty bad...

A great movie in my opinion. In many ways, the film exceeds the book. I was lucky enough to have picked up one of the last DVD copies before everyone realized it was OOP and the price shot up.

Universal owns the rights so it is up to them.

I'm in the same boat on this one.

It's now at the top of my OOP wish list, and it's been a long time since it was even listed on eBay.

I didn't even know it was out of print... Wow, I have at least one money disc! Yes, I'd say the movie does the book justice... It's a terrific movie, even most purists are very happy with it.

I brought this up months ago...& it seemed people 'hated' the movie. Then again i have seen more positive than negatives reviews for the film. You can't please everyone.

I only saw it once a few years ago on Bravo. Thought it was a really good film..that i'd love to see again.

Not sure how it compares to the book. Yet i found a used copy of it..& will read it eventually once finished with my other stacks of books.
