What do u think of this deal?

Sorry... a noob trying to increase his dvd collection...

and i dun think it exactly falls into a category of dvd bargains...

but letting u all know that used criterions can be got for a steal from ebay and auction websites.

i just negotiated a deal with a guy

used dvd yet in mint condition:

1. Chasing Amy CC - $20 USD
2. Brazil CC - $25 USD
3. Ultimate Toy Box - $25 USD

that's like 7 DVDs for... $135 SGD which is around $70 USD

what do u guys think?

i am blind buying all 3... are they able to live up with its worth?

Chasing Amy - awful (a brand new disc can be bought for $14.99 in stores)
Brazil CC - very good price
Ultimate Toy Box - excellent price

LBPound is exactly right. But I WOULD seek out Chasing Amy as it is a very good film and Criterion does it very well in the department of extras. So, you should try to locate it but NOT for $20.00 as that price is a rip.

I think he meant "awful" in terms of the deal you were getting.... not about the movie itself.

That's right. I haven't even seen the movie in its entirety.

Just be VEEEEERY careful with auction sites... those Criterion Bootlegs are rampant.

yes...be very careful with bootlegs...make sure you are getting the real deal. Those are extremely good prices on Toy Story and Brazil
