In my 220+ collection "About A Boy" has been the most-watched. Seen it 5 times. I just crack up everytime.

Let's jump into reality, here.

So a couple here are saying they've watched SW OT (or at least one of the 3), on average, once every 9 days or more frequently since it first debuted in theaters? That's almost 26 years of almost once a week watching SW. Seems a little far fetched to me. Possible? Sure, but are you sure you've been using the "+" and not the "x" on your calculator?

Zoolander 600 times? About once a day since it came out? Either somebody needs a secondary hobby or your counter is off.

I watch lots of movies over and over. These are the first I get on DVD, generally speaking. My SW LDs have held up pretty well for the dozens of times all 9 have been in the player. I've watched Matrix, Clue, and many others dozens of times on various media. (but none approach 1000x)

I probably watch FOTR, Jaws, The Abyss, Aliens and Se7en the most. Almost every night I put in a "comfort" dvd before I go to bed. One I know all the dialogue to and can easily close my eyes and see the picture. I'll usually watch about 1/3 to 1/2 of it and watch the rest the next night.

I guess I must have watched each of the Star Wars OT at least 10 times, Hard Boiled approx 8 times, and PRincess Mononoke about 6-7 times. MY Disney DVDs also get a regular viewing, especially Mulan.

Out of my 350+ DVDs I'd guess that I have watched 75% at least twice (especially if they have a commentary).

[Have watched] Star Wars OT films at least 1000+ like others here...
Just think ..... You've spent more than 250 total days watching Yoda, Darth, Han, and Luke.

Gee....You could have built three or four Death Stars in that amount of time.

My "home theatre" is my PC with a set of headphones. I know once I get a real high def WS TV with decent sound, I'll be re-watching my entire collection.

Maybe 2 to 3 times for every movie I own, including VHS. Ones I really like get the 4 timer.

I've watched Monty Python & The Holy Grail well over a hundred times. I know every line, every song and every word of the credits. This flick never grows tired.

Very True! Actually when I was in elementary/high school I used to position a desk in my room right in front of the TV. I would do my homework, 2-3 hours each night, while watching a movie. I remember during a long time span from 6th to 7th grade all I did was watch Star Wars!

I still do this as I am in college. But it helps me relax while working so it's worth it.

*On a side note, I am allowed to bring a portable dvd player to work .... while I'm working I can watch films as long as I'm getting my work done. Sweet.

By the way, My guess of 1000 is probably off. It may be even more. But if you want to see true fandom, check out some of the posts over at TheForce.net. Some people over there wake up early every morning or so and watch the whole trilogy!

I have watched Good Will Hunting about 10 times.... I don't get sick of the movie.... just watched the commentary today and I missed so many little things.

But Bandits, I have seen once, and that's once more than I should.

JC's The Thing 20+. and a few other personal favs about 10-20+ times if not more. I love watching movies over and over again. I can never go to bed without watching some DVD...
WOW!!!

Somebody check my math, I'm floored!!!

Star Wars - 2:05:00
Empire - 2:00:00
Jedi - 2:14:00

TOTAL - 6:19 x 1000 = 6190 HOURS

6190/ 8 (hrs a day) = 773.75 (2 YEARS, 1 MONTH, 1 WEEK, 6 DAYS & 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES) not counting piss & snack breaks!

Dude, George owns YOUR soul!!!

yeah that is crazy. I thought my friend was nuts cuz in high school he watched A Clockwork Orange almost every day after school for 3 years with another buddy of ours.

I guess that's why his sn is DarthMaul.

I've seen my entire collection at least 12 times. I've been collecting for 4 years and have about 80 dvds. I only buy dvds Il'l watch more than 4-6 times. Even if I really like a movie, if i think I'll only watch it once or so, I won't buy it. I don't see the point of buying a movie to only watch once.

Fight club - 90ish time (all commentaries twice, minus the production one)
Se7en - about 20
Being John Malcovich - 30 times (it gets funnier every time I see it)
the Cell - 20 times (i really don't like that movie, but the production design/sets/costume design/cinematography/VFX are very top notch)
Mullholland Dr. - about 30. Everytime I watch it, i develop a new theory about it. then I watch it again to disprove my theory/develop a new one. My lastest theory is Lynch paying homage to Kubrick's 2001 (I've read somewhere that Kubrick made 2001 like making 3 movies that had nothing to do with each other then just editing them together, MD is kind of like that) That movie goes in spurts (i watch it every day for a week or so, then not touch it for a couple of months)

Dr. Strangelove - 40 times.

I am scared to buy Big Lewbowski (i've seen it 20 times and I don't even own it) for fear of not leaving my apartment and just watch this on repeat. Not saying that's a bad thing, but I'd like to get out more.

Well, as others have said it all depends on what dvd's we're talkin' about. And what mood I'm in. I can watch The Simpsons sets and The Sopranos and Family Guy and All In The Family sets constantly. As well as George Carlin performances. But movies themselves... Star Wars, The Flintstones (don't even ask, heh), Office Space, The Evil Dead trilogy, Halloween, Die Hard, The Matrix, Disney Movies in general, during christmas any christmas dvd's i own, and The Lord Of The Rings, although almost never in one sitting

Depends on the movie for me - I have been able to watch The Matrix, the Austin Power movies, James Bond and quite a few others dozens of times, while I have only been able to watch Life is Beautiful twice since I picked it up on release day.

Bond has a tremendous replay value in my house - comedies are a close second.
