And many lines from "The Matrix" are ripped directly from social philosopher Jean Baudrillard's book of essays "Simulacra et Simulations," which incidentally is the book in the movie that Neo takes the discs out of to give to the guy with the girl who has the white rabbit tattoo.

Dang French Deconstructionist rip-off movie, man!

At this point in the game, I think that you'll find it difficult to find many ideas that are truly "new;" given that in the history of civilization, there have been many, many creative/insightful people.

I read in Entertainment Weekly a while back that they're releasing Reloaded on DVD 3 months after it hits theaters. If they follow that same formula, expect Revolutions in January. I couldn't tell you the issue, but it had Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne Moss on the cover.
