I hear there is a Special Edition of Predator released overseas. Does anyone know if its ever coming to the US? Why didn't it get released here?

i don't know if anyone truely knows why it wasn't released here but there was speculation that fox wanted to avoid some double dipping, there is already 3 releases of predator; pan and scan, widescreen and a dts. 4 if you count the spanish region 1,

I have had Predator for some time now and Predator 2 R4 AU for about 8 months both are in 1.85:1 Anamorphic. I agree they are good movies. Only reason it didn't become a triology is because Kevin Peter Hall who fit the suit was 7 foot 6 inches tall, died of A.I.D.S..

The African American actor whom Stan Winston made the suit for after Mr. Halls death, couldn't find a man who could fill his suit. Act as good as Mr. Hall did, 2 times running with that hot suit in hot temperatures fighting with Arnie and Danny Glover!

Well, they've been working on Alien Vs. Predator for about a decade now. I think the reason we haven't seen a Predator 3 is because Predator 2 didn't do as well as they hoped, plus most likely the lack of a good story.
