The Phillip K. Dick Collection

JJE's suggestion of a collection of Steven King covers got me thinking about movies based on the stories of a certain author. From that, I thought of the great sci-fi author Phillip K. Dick. Thus, I'm seriously considering a set of covers for the movies based on his novels which include: Minority Report, Impostor, Total Recall, and Blade Runner (among others). Here's what I've come up with so far, I'm not completely happy with it, so some input would be appreciated. By the way, the black lines separating the spine from the front and back aren't part of the cover, they're just for reference.

i like it, but the front is definitely sparse. Maybe you could add a pick of the original book cover?

I agree with it being sparse, but I kind of like it like that.

Anybody else have any thoughts???

I like the concept, but it's too "empty." Why the K. in the center of the front? With all the RED in the movie, I'd expect more on the cover... maybe a shot of Mars landscape?

The Phillip K. Dick Collection needs to stand out a bit more, IMHO.

Sounds like I don't like it, but I really do...

I like this cover a lot, Bunny. I like the minimalness of it.the shades of blue and grey, the font usage, and the "//" separator give it a good high-tech feel.

Because it's the Phillip K Dick Collection

I'm not sure if I'll go through with this idea because its hard for me to find pictures big enough to use on the Total Recall cover and I can't find a high-enough quality poster for Impostor. I think I'll put this on my 'to-do' list for another day.

Thanks for all of the input though, I'll put it to good use when I continue working on the set.

bunnydojo : Do you remember the Teaser Poster for Total Recall? (it doesn't have Arnold's face anywhere on it)
If you can find it, I think it'd look good in some of the empty space.
