I have checked dozens of DVD web sites and local stores, and no one has the Short Circuit Special Edition DVD in stock. Most of the websites have it listed but show it as being on back order. I've had an order placed on dvdplanet.com for almost three weeks waiting for it, and they still don't have any. Ironically, I had no trouble at all getting the second movie.

Does anyone have any idea where I can find this oddly elusive DVD?

The reason it is hard to find is that it is out-of-print. Announced as discontinued by Image sometime last month.

I found a copy of Short Circuit today at Circuit City for $19.99. I thought it was too expensive so I didn't pick it up. I didn't realize it was out of print.

Is Short Circuit still going to be re-released later this year? If so I will hold off buying it at that price.

Yup, in August I think. It's just a re-issue of the same DVD though.

i found one at Borders maybe a month ago... so they're still floatin' around.
