The one review on Amazon that specifically addresses DVD quality says that Network is dreadful. Would anyone who has the DVD be willing to comment?
Anything else worth mentioning about this DVD?
Thanks.

...a very good movie, given a not-quite-stellar -but still quite good- transfer (it's highly unlikely there will be a 'better' version anytime soon, if ever!)...
...but, that's just MHO, of course! Here's a review (of the movie and the disc):

Count me in, too. "Network" is such a great movie that a B+ quality transfer is perfectly acceptable. You won't be paying attention to the look of the film, but instead to the qualities of the characters.
